A brief introduction into Hypnotherapy


Most people have quite a limited understanding of the positive results that can be achieved in a professionally controlled hypnotherapy session. Our minds work on two levels – consciously and subconsciously. Consciously, we are able to make decisions, think, and rationalise based on our experiences from childhood. But often, these experiences hinder our lives as they restrict us from what is reasoned to be reality. Subconsciously, we store information like a massive hard-drive of all our experiences, and our conscious mind selects the appropriate pattern of interpreting that information. However, that selection isn’t always correct. It can be clouded by incorrect judgement based on previous experiences and expectations. Hypnotherapy is a process that is carried out in a relaxed state (a trance), whereby the subjects’ experiences are analysed and given beneficial suggestions. Communication is established with the subconscious part of the mind, responsible for over-cautiously protecting the rest of it.
